Based on a true story and shot on location in Arkansas, SOVEREIGN received a 95% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes. Variety: “‘Sovereign’ Review: In the Rare Thriller That’s Truly Political, Nick Offerman Is Powerful as a Lost Soul of the New Right. Christian Swegal’s startling drama is about a sovereign citizens leader who preaches a radical idea of what the government can and cannot do.” —Owen Gleiberman, Variety
